About AutismAutism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex brain disorder that inhibits a person's ability to communicate and develop social relationships, and is often accompanied by behavioral challenges.1 in 68 children has been identified with ASD in the United States, and it affects 5 times as many boys as girls. The prevalence of ASD has increased tenfold in the last decade. Unfortunately, there is no known cause or cure for ASD.
